Message from the Dean

Welcome to the Division of Student Affairs´ home page!

The Division of Student Affairs is committed to providing a wide variety of programs, services and experiences that enhance your academic experience and that broaden your interpersonal, social and leadership skills. A well-educated person is one who recognizes the importance of service to others, is sensitive to and has a keen understanding and appreciation of differences, and promotes social justice issues. We are proud of our students and the unique experiences and backgrounds they bring to our campus.

When you become a student with us, we encourage you to get involved in the out of class experiences available on the campus, to join clubs and organizations, to attend cultural events, to do community service, to take leadership responsibilities and to meet and get to know persons different from you. By doing these things, you will maximize your ECTC experience and prepare yourself to successfully deal with the challenges that await you during your academic pursuits and after graduation.

The Division of Student Affairs consists of dedicated, professional people that are available to you. They are personally as well as professionally committed to students and make the effort to support each student as an individual worthy of dignity and respect. We believe that our work with students has value, meaning, and purpose and are grateful for the privilege of working you.

Your success is very important to us, so please do not hesitate to call on the people in Student Affairs.

Dale Buckles, Ph.D.

Dean of Student Affairs
