The opening instrumental group is called "A Perfect Fit." Lorinda Jones, well-known in the area for her work with dulcimer and harp groups, will perform familiar folk music for the holiday season on the harp, dulcimer, and oboe, with Deborah Couch, flute and harp. Their music will include their arrangements of "Wayfaring Stranger" and "We Gather Together." Lorinda Jones will perform again with the Celtic group "Chattering Magpies," with Martha Richard and Greta Gillmeister. Their instruments include the hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, ocean drum, Irish flute, whistle, and harp.
Mary Beth McCandless and James Barnard, both of whom are well-known for their musical activity in the community and with the Presbyterian Church, will perform sets of English songs, accompanied by Dr. Camille Hill, music professor at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. Ms. McCandless will sing Three Love Songs, by American composer Julia Smith, settings of poems by Karl Flaster. James Barnard will perform British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams's Songs of Travel, settings of the poetry of Robert Louis Stevenson.
