ECTC's Higdon Elected VP of KSRC
 
Rebecca Higdon, Elizabethtown Community and Technical College's Director of Clinical Education for the Respiratory Care Program, has been elected to a one-year term as Vice President of the Kentucky Society for Respiratory Care (KSRC). KSRC, a chartered affiliate of the American Association for Respiratory Care, is a non-profit organization established to serve the professional needs of the respiratory profession and its practitioners, and to support the profession's ability to meet the need of its patients. Higdon has been an active member of the National Board for Respiratory Care and the American Association for Respiratory Care in addition to the Kentucky Society. Higdon started as a student respiratory employee at Hardin Memorial Hospital in 1991, where she still works, graduated May of 1992 from Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) and obtained the Certified Respiratory Therapist credentials followed by the Registered Respiratory Therapist Credentials. She earned the Bachelor of Science Degree in Educational Training and Development from the University of Louisville. Higdon was employed as a full time adjunct instructor for KCTCS at JCTC from 1998 to 2000. She returned to JCTC as a full time instructor in October 2002, where she was promoted to Assistant Professor. She transferred to ECTC In January 2008 as the Director of Clinical Education for the Respiratory Care Program. Rebecca is the wife of Glenn, mother of Mariah and Carly, and resides in Hodgenville.
