Thompson Appointed Chief Business Affairs Officer
 
Jonathan Thompson of Frankfort has been named chief business affairs officer at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. Thompson will be responsible for providing leadership for all financial, budgetary and accounting operations of the college, including the business office, purchasing, payroll and auxiliary services. He joined ECTC President/CEO Dr. Thelma J. White's leadership team on Aug. 1. Prior to joining ECTC, Thompson served as a senior associate with the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. He also has worked as a policy and budget analyst in the Office of State Budget Director and as a revenue program officer for the Kentucky Department of Revenue. "Jonathan Thompson brings an insider's perspective to postsecondary education and a special understanding of the complex financial policy issues affecting institutions like ECTC," Dr. White said A native of Marietta, Ga. and a long-time resident of Frankfort, Thompson is a graduate of Pensacola (Fla.) Christian College and the University of Kentucky's Martin School of Public Policy and Administration. "Elizabethtown Community and Technical College has a solid record of service to students and communities, and Dr. Thelma White's vision for the college and the region it serves is both exciting and contagious," Thompson said. "I look forward to working with and supporting the efforts of the faculty and staff to ensure that students at ECTC successfully achieve their educational goals." Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, a member of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, is a public, comprehensive learning community serving nearly 6,000 students from 12 counties in north central Kentucky.
